Greg and his wife Jennifer have been married for 17 years.  They have one daughter, Olivia (11), who is a fifth grader attending Discovery Elementary school in the Sioux Falls school district.  They have two dogs, Joey and Charlie.    


Greg obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN in 2001.


Greg is a Lead Software Engineer for Unisys Corporation, a worldwide software solutions company.  Greg develops software primarily for banks, airlines, and governments.  Greg has been employed with Unisys for 18 years.

Public Service

Greg was elected to the Sioux Falls City Council representing the Northwest District in 2016.  Prior to his service on the City Council Greg served on the Sioux Falls Zoning Board of Adjustment from 2011-2016.  Greg served on the Billboard Task Force (2015) and the Annexation Task Force (2017).  Greg was the founder and chair of the ballot question committee Forward Zoning which advocated for the adoption of the Shape Places zoning ordinance in the 2014 Sioux Falls city election.  In 2018, Greg led the audit division of the City Council as its acting manager after a vacancy in the position.  In that year, Greg led the effort to revamp the audit division, its ordinance and charter, supervised staff, and led the search for the new Internal Audit Manager.  In his current role as City Councilor Greg serves in the following leadership roles:

  • Vice Chair - City Council
  • Operations Committee Chair
  • Internal Audit Committee Chair

Volunteer Service

Greg enjoys teaching Sunday school at his church (Holy Cross Lutheran Church) in west Sioux Falls.  He also enjoys helping in any way he can at church.  Greg was also an LSS school-based mentor to a student for several years.


Greg enjoys riding his bike on the Sioux Falls bike trail as well as city streets.  He also enjoys reading, attending concerts and shows, doing puzzles and board games with his family, traveling, and simply spending time with friends and family.
